Saturday at the Track ...
Another great day for racing !! The boys all did well and the weather was PERFECT !! There were only a few spills today, so no injuries in the family to report !!
Here's my "Pic Of The Day " ... it's self explanatory ...LOL
Grandson Riley in this pic is making a statement outta the gate, but eases off and takes the upper outside of the first hill and turn..we gave him pep talks all day, but ya know they gotta find their own rythym ....

But this is the view his fellow riders had of him ALL DAY !!
Then we have Grandson Alex, as usual, riding his litle heart out and sweeping all this days races :
And here we have Son Ryan, keeping up pretty good with one of his pals, but he was feeling some annoying pain in his knee today, so he took it easy most of the other races :

Wednesday Night Racing @ Presque Isle BMX
Pic of the week: I'm calling this one DETERMINATION
Well another night of exciting racing going on. I do have to say, though, there were a strangely HIGH number of "wipe outs" last night..... It's always like watching train wrecks, it happens before you know it and then you don't want to see it, but you can't look away !!...LOL... everyone got up and either walked off the field or got back on their bikes and finished out the track ... I am sad to report that Jerome was one of the victims of last night's CARNAGE... He gave it his best shot to finish out his race but had to submit to the injury to his knee and walk his ride off the track .... Love to you Jay !!!
Here we have a pic of Ryan in the "Thunder Bunch" Moto..these guys command your attention comin around the track, between the sound of thunder when they hit the dirt peddlin' and the grunts and groans emitted as they push their way over the hills....LOL
Ryan had a decent night ,here's a pic of him leading the pack , although somewhere later on in this race he was bested and finished 2nd in his class...
Here we see Grandson Nate ahead of the bunch and things didn't change all night...this little guy "dominated " in all 3 motos and in his Main, taking a 1st place !! Way to go !!

Exciting Sunday @ the Races
This being my first post, I'll just tell a little of what this is all about....My son, my "adopted son" and 3 of my grandsons started BMX racing this year. Never in a million years would I have thought I would so thoroughly enjoy this sport and become one of it's biggest fans, but I do and I am !!
One of the funnest things about this is seeing the little ones race...they give it so much heart and soul...Oh, all of the racers do, but the little guys and girls out there are so cute , with their fierce determination and innocent sense of fun....
Here are a few pics I got of the racing action this weekend at "South Park" BMX track in Pittsburgh...
The first is my oldest son and my " son from another mother" racing their hearts out against each other. There aren't too many guys in this class at their level locally, so they usually end up racing against each other even in a full gate....
Next is Grandson R, the oldest of this bunch of little racers...He had a great start to the day and looked as if he was gonna capture his "motos" but a nasty spill kinda took the wind outta his lungs and his sails for the day....he did get back on and ride the last 2 races, but he was extra cautious and not feeling very " competitive" , so he didn't place well, but oh well, I was just glad to see him keep at it !!
Then we see a good shot of Grandson N coming down off a small hill and heading for a turn , leading the pack ...He had a great showing Sunday in all his motos and ended with a 2nd place in the finals !!!
Last and CERTAINLY not least we have Granson A ... this little guy came outta the gate flying when he first started racing !! He is fast and determined and ready all the time !! He had a GREAT day also and led the pack in all the motos and fizzled just a hair , ending with a 2nd place in the finals, but what a day !! I'm just so happy to see these guys give it all they GOT !!
